Our Commitment to Social Responsibility
At JKA Traditional Shotokan Karate Club (JKA TSKC), we believe that the true spirit of karate extends far beyond the dojo. Discipline, respect, compassion, and service to society are at the heart of everything we do.
Since 2022, our club has been fully sponsoring karate and self-defence training for around 30 girls living in an orphan home, empowering them with confidence, discipline, physical fitness, and the ability to protect themselves. This initiative reflects our long-term commitment to creating a safer and more confident future for young girls through martial arts.
Our social outreach extends to numerous schools, colleges, corporate organizations, and community institutions, where we regularly conduct self-defence awareness and training programmes. We have proudly organized sessions for organizations including Air India, and actively participate in community initiatives conducted in collaboration with the Police and various NGOs, promoting safety, awareness, and women’s empowerment.
This mission is led by Mr. Arindam Sikdar, Founder and Chief Instructor of JKA Traditional Shotokan Karate Club (JKA TSKC) and a Technical Committee Member of JKAWF India. His vision and dedication have been the driving force behind the club’s social initiatives, inspiring countless individuals to use martial arts as a means of building a stronger and more responsible society.
These achievements would not be possible without the wholehearted support of our senior members, instructors, students, and parents, whose continuous contributions—through their time, effort, and commitment—help transform this vision into reality. Together, we believe that social responsibility is a shared commitment.
At JKA TSKC, our objective is not only to teach traditional Shotokan Karate or self-defence techniques, but also to mentor individuals to become confident, disciplined, responsible, and respected members of society. We encourage every student to develop strong character, leadership qualities, and the courage to stand up for themselves and others, enabling them to earn recognition through integrity, service, and excellence.
